The Start tab enables you to execute several default document commands and control the data view in documents. This tab is always available, regardless of which file you opened.

Clipboard

  • Paste (Ctrl+V): Paste the content of the Clipboard. By clicking the arrow below the Paste button, a menu opens in which you can choose between the options All (values and formulas including formatting), Formulas (the Excel formula of the copied value), Content (only the copied value without formatting and formula) Format (only the format).
  • Cut (Ctrl+X): Cut the selection and put it on the Clipboard.
  • Copy (Ctrl+C): Copy the selection and put it on the Clipboard.
  • Format Painter: Copy formatting from one place and apply it to another. Double-click this button to apply the same formatting to multiple places in the document.


Find and Replace

  • Find (Ctrl+F, F4): Finds and selects a specific value in the document.
  • Replace (Ctrl+H): Finds and replaces a specific value in the document.


Switch

  • Dataset Selection: Here you can select the dataset for the so-called switching, a function used to control the data view in documents.
  • Structure Selection: Here you can select a structural element for the so-called switching, a function used to control the data view in documents.
  • Freeze Structure: Freezes the selected structural element. New documents will be switched to this structural element.
  • Period Selection: Here you can select the period for the so-called switching, a function used to control the data view in documents.
  • Freeze Period: Freezes the selected period. New documents will be switched to this period.
