Opening path[edit]

Function/Handling[edit]

The period tree contains the period structure of all datasets in the active session. From here you can switch documents to display the desired time period(s).

When datasets contain multiple years, all years are displayed with their different period structures. The symbols in front of the period elements represent the time period they cover. Quarters are divided into four blocks, months into twelve blocks and the year appears as one block.

A plus sign (+) in front of a period element indicates that there are more elements below it. Click the plus sign to expand all elements below this period. If the entire sub-level of a period element is displayed, this is indicated by a minus sign (-). By clicking the minus sign, all sub-levels can be hidden again. If there is no sign in front of a period, there are no sub-levels below it.

Similar to the organizational dimension (see Structure Tree), all period elements have a specific time ID.
